As a Toshiba Group company, we engage in CSR management with “integrity” as the keyword for our business operations.
“Integrity” has two meanings for the Toshiba Group.
The first meaning is to sincerely address a wide variety of problems facing society and fulfill our responsibilities to resolve them through our business activities. We hope to make the lives of people around the world safer and more fulfilling by engaging in low environmental load manufacturing and by producing semiconductor products with excellent energy efficiency.
The second meaning is management and financial soundness. We will maintain our stable revenue base and financial strength through our manufacturing competitiveness, and we will put human life, safety, and compliance with regulations first in all aspects of our business. This is the foundation of our management.
Furthermore, in order to continue to earn the trust of the community, we educate all of our employees on our standards of conduct in business, the relationship between the company and individuals, and the relationship between the company and society through the Toshiba Group Standards of Conduct. Our corporate culture prioritizes human life, safety, and compliance over everything else.

Environmental Load Reduction is our Responsibility as a Leading Eco-company

Under the “TOSHIBA eco style” Toshiba Group-wide brand, we have implemented eco-conscious management based on the following three approaches: “Greening of Process” (improvement of production processes), “Greening of Products” (pursuit of eco-friendliness in products), and “Greening by Technology” (environmental contributions through the application of technology).
In our manufacturing activities, we continue our efforts to reduce energy and raw material consumption in reducing manufacturing processes by implementing a wide variety of engineering measures. For example, we succeeding in reducing the CO2 emissions from the boiler fuel used at plants by approximately 30% by converting the fuel into liquid natural gas (LNG). As for waste, we actively carry out 3R (3R: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) activities to achieve zero emissions. We will continue our search for ways to reduce environmental loads and, through eco-friendly semiconductor manufacturing, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable world.
